ABOUT Diana
Raised in Stoneville, North Carolina, Diana Mungaray grew up enthralled by the world around her. This fascination stayed with her as she pursued art- translating watercolor pine trees in her composition book. Diana then grew up to be an avid artist that is enraptured by the eccentric and unorthodox. Her work comes from a whimsical place as she creates stylized artwork that amuses her, and hopefully her viewers.
Education:
I graduated from East Carolina University with a BFA in Animation & Interactive Design.
My Philosophy
To me, my work is an extension of my interests and wackiness. If somebody can find entertainment from my obscure humor, then I know my work has reached its purpose. Some of my biggest inspirations are animated shows and I genuinely admired how happy I felt watching them. They motivated me to be wacky and to always have a child-like sense of wonder. With their influence, I hope to be able to contribute to a future generations happiness one day. Which is something I want to bring more of into the world- whether it be through the dedication of my craft, or my unorthodox humor.
